Based on the information provided, here's a draft shipping policy for Grill King:
1.    Delivery Areas and Timeframes
We currently deliver to areas as specified on our website. Please refer to our delivery information to ensure you are within our delivery area.
For made-to-order and custom items, delivery timeframes can range from 4 to 12 weeks, or potentially longer depending on the specific item.
Please note that during holiday periods, delivery times may be extended due to potential delays in container shipments.
2.    Kerbside Delivery
Our freight partners provide kerbside delivery only. This means they will deliver the product to the kerb or driveway of the delivery address, but will not take it into your garage, backyard, or home.
If you require assistance beyond kerbside delivery, please contact us in advance to discuss available options and any associated costs.
3.    Partial Fulfillment
As a made-to-order business dealing with modular pieces (e.g., BBQ, fridge, and sink), we may sometimes experience delays with specific components.
In such cases, we reserve the right to partially fulfill your order by sending available components while you wait for the delayed items. By placing an order, you agree to accept partial fulfillment if necessary.
4.    Damage During Transit
While we take utmost care in packaging your items, damage may occasionally occur during transit by third-party freight providers.
In the event of damage, please notify us immediately upon receipt of the goods. We will work with our freight partners to resolve the issue in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
We may need to make a claim with our freight provider to address the damage. Your cooperation in providing necessary information and evidence may be required in such cases.
5.    Delivery Delays
While we strive to meet estimated delivery timeframes, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to issues with third-party freight providers.
We will keep you informed of any significant delays and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.
6.    Depot Pick-up
In some cases, you may be required to pick up your item from a depot location. While we typically absorb the associated costs, in certain circumstances, we may need to pass on these charges to you. We will inform you in advance if this is necessary.
7.    Interstate Transfers
Occasionally, we may need to transfer items between our depots in different states (VIC/NSW/QLD) to fulfill your order. While we generally absorb these costs, in some cases, we may need to apply a surcharge to cover the additional expenses. We will notify you if this applies to your order.
8.    Re-delivery
If you reject a delivery, you may be liable for the re-delivery costs. This includes cases where the delivery is rejected due to the wrong item being sent, although we will work with you to resolve any such issues promptly.
9.    Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change your delivery address or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes or cancellations may not be possible once your order has been dispatched.
10. Customer Responsibility
It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the delivery at the agreed time and location. If the delivery is left unattended (e.g., garage or front of property), responsibility for the goods transfers upon confirmed delivery.
Items may arrive in sealed wooden crates or protective boxes, depending on the product. All packaging is designed to protect goods during transit. Please inspect all items promptly upon delivery, prior to moving, unboxing, or installation.
Visible damage must be reported within 24 hours, supported by clear photographs showing:
- The item
- The packaging/crate (including exterior condition)
- The delivery location (if relevant)
Claims made after goods have been moved, unpacked, or installed may be declined, as damage often occurs during post-delivery handling.
We reserve the right to reject claims where there is insufficient evidence that the damage occurred prior to or during delivery.
All claims are assessed in line with our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
